Annual Program 2007 Chinmaya Mission Phoenix celebrated its Second Annual Program held on May 19, 2007. Our honored guest for the event was Smt. Lakshmi Sukumar from our San Diego Center. The Bala Vihar children from each of the age groups performed what they had learned during the year, The younger children recited slokas and sang hymns. The older children performed a play about Prahlada and the Narsimha Avatar. The costumes and props were fabulous, especially the costume of Narsimha Avatar and the column from which him burst out of. The high school kids shared their knowledge about Vibhisana Gita.
The younger children in Hindi Language classes recited Hindi poems. The older children performed a play about famous poet Kalidas. The children did a wonderful job of memorizing all their lines. All families and their guests blessed us with outstanding attendance. This would not have been possible without the effort of all the parents in making it a success. With Pujya Guruji’s blessings, we continue to build upon our success from one year to another.
